This time it is the Phillies!!!

I love it!!!

I am listening to the meltdown on WIP. If the Bills beat the Eagles, that city will burn down.

GO BILLS!!!

And the Philly media the last couple of months kept saying that Philadelphia is the epicenter of sports.

Well, they are if they are Sodom or Gomorrah.

I am happy that the Phillies are out but the people who aren't happy are the broadcast networks. With the Phillies and Yankees gone, nobody outside of the teams that are in it are going to watch. People would watch just to root against those teams. I would love to see the Brewers or Rangers win it.

As a Cardinals fan, I would occasionally check a Phillies board during this series. I was expecting to see the equivalent of "Romo is a homo," but overall they were very respectful. What happens to these people when they wear green on Sundays?

Disagree. St. Louis has a huge following and probably bigger than Philadelphia. Also, their rivals will be tuning in to watch them lose.

It's not the big-time baseball fan that's the problem when it comes to the final 4 teams and what their TV draw is going to be.

Anyone with any sort of interest in the Cards or Rangers or Brewers or Tigers is going to watch.

It's the casual fan.

And right now the casual fan is a little lost. The teams with the most name recognition are out of the tournament. And someone else brought up the "hate" factor... They'll watch to see teams like the Yankees and Phillies get beat. Tough to get up a good amount of "hate" for the teams that are left.

The result is that the ratings are probably going to be lackluster.

Tony La Russa is one of the few people I have little to no respect for whatsoever... I hope they lose in the most painful way possible at his expense...

I actually liked the Cards until he came aboard...

I'll give him one thing... his daughter is hawt... +1 for that...

GO RANGERS!

Forgot about the Cards. You are right, they do have huge following.

I can't wait to see the World Series get trounced by an NFL regular season game head to head in the ratings. :D And I'm glad the NFL finally decided to stop skipping a Sunday night game to make way for baseball.

Obviously being a Yankees fan I'm still disappointed in losing in round 1, but seeing the Phillies makes me feel alot better.

That would be Dallas right now, and that's with no contribution at all from the Cowboys. In the last 12 months Rangers been to the WC, Rangers back in the ALCS and the Mavs are NBA champions
