That and the Cedar Springs area, lots o bars and restaurants.West End
What part of town you going to be working in?
Café Pacific in Richardson is a great seafood place if you happen to see it you cant go wrong thereGoing to Richardson during the day. Don’t mind driving 20-30 minutes.
I'd suggest not staying in Richardson, if you don't mind the drive and stay in Dallas proper. Depends on when you're going but if that's going to Richardson early and back to Dallas late, you will be against the traffic not with it on Central Expressway or Greenville Avenue and I would suggest Greenville if you've got the time as both lower and upper Greenville are loaded but I don't know what protocols they will have in place or the shape they're in after these past 18 months.Going to Richardson during the day. I was an UBER driver for a lil over a year and that area was a hot spot Took lots of rides thereI really dig Main Street Grapevine. Lots of shops, restaurants, cafes, gastro pubs, live music, farmers market and more. There are numerous hotels in the area.
max, it's amazing to see places like Coppell and Grapevine when I think I used to backtrail it through there to get to the airport because there was nothing there, just open fields and some ranches. It's like Addison back in the day when The Magic Time Machine was the first restaurant. And it does not take long for these small towns to get built out.I really dig Main Street Grapevine. We have been traveling to the DFW area for about 14 years now and man in just that time it's incredible to see the development and sprawl going on it that area, particularly along the 114 corridor where we spend most of our time. My uncle moved to Plano in the early 70's and that was a desolate place. I went to visit him from N'Awlins for some job interviews to move to Dallas and Plano was in the middle of nowhere.
Downtown Grapevine is cool And I also like Mansfield Downtown area on weekends the folks cruise in their old cars But it is becoming over populated thereWe have been traveling to the DFW area for about 14 years now and man in just that time it's incredible to see the development and sprawl going on it that area, particularly along the 114 corridor where we spend most of our time. Before the high end steak joints started coming in, that Four Seasons in Las Colinos had the rep for the best steak in the Metroplex.I used to stay at the Four Seasons Resort but it is not within walking distance to much, except the golf course. They screwed up my reservation once and had no room for me when I arrived but the next day they put me in the Tom Watson suite on the 18th hole for the price of a regular room. Nicest business accommodation I ever had anywhere in the world. They comped me meals and all sorts of stuff for the mistake they made. Loved it. They gave me a letter allowing me the same accommodations the next time I was in town, but I retired before going back to Dallas. But even the regular rooms are really nice.
