Game 1 - Zeke and Pollard combine for 16 rushed and 60 yards with Dak

Game 2 - 24 rushes combined, 96 yards with Cooper Rush

Game 3 - 28 rushes combined, 178 yards with Cooper Rush

- Kellen and MM have obviously heard the criticism and addressed the carries in the run game, specifically week 3 where the carries were split 15/13 in the favor of Pollard

- Ceedee had 12 targets last night, I take that away as a positive

Question - has our gameplan really changed since week 1, we can see the egregious difference in rushing attempts. The black cloud that reigns over me is wondering if this is actually a factor of Dak Prescott checking out of run plays where Cooper Rush will more tend to follow the script - pure speculation but I do see less changes at the LOS

We were effective running in Game 1 but too many penalties forced us into passing too much.

Moore's playcalling has been very good the past two games. He seems to actually have a feel for it that I have never seen before.

Rush quick reads and quick throws may be the difference here!

Let's hope that was more than just a flash of competence we saw,,, this team can run the ball if we just put some effort into the blocking schemes and play calling.

It's hard to tell if it is Moore's playcalling or Rush not changing the plays but they do seem to be more committed to the running game with Rush at QB.

I thought more called a pretty good game overall. I would not have called a pass on the 3rd and 1 before the last FG. I know Brown was held and it should have been a first down but I think if they ran the ball they would have gotten the first down and had a chance to go for a TD with a new series of downs.

Difference is in week 1 the Cowboys played the Bucs and the #1 defense in the NFL at present.

Its about understanding what you are seeing.

Cooper rush vs Dak will also definitely change the game plan.

He changed them a lot the word kil kil kil i heard at least 4 timed. Thats called and audible he has choice run or pass.same as dak. same as romo, Garett , same offense, its still the same. the bucs d is the difference they didn't bite on anything covered everyone like a blanket and didn't allow squat all the way into the 4th qtr of the Saints game were playing the same, 2nd half of packer game shut Rogers down. KM isn't fooling the rams and eagles.. so i hope he stays with a balanced run game and PA passes even with Dak..

he abandoned the run game in the 2nd half of game 1 when Zeke was hot. level of competition and players skillset is the difference, maybe he learns something.,

Helps not playing the Bucs and playing Bengals and Giants instead.

I get you...#1 defense and all but the rushing attack was working just as it was these last two games... and in theory the score was in reach just as it was these last two games so either the run was abandoned or checked out of the second half...that is what I am trying to put my finger on...this whole idea of Dak pressing is a real thing

Play calling ???

3rd and 1 -- 3+ minutes left in the game with the lead.
Just got 9 yards in two runs, and you really need to keep the clock running.

So we run a pass play???
Yes there was defensive holding or DPI ---- but why would you do anything but get the 1st and keep running clock????

You just gave Zeke how much money. Drafted another 1st round OL. Have possibly the best guard playing today in Zack Martin. Have run all over the D --- so you pass ? ? ?

Yes, Kellen has done a better job of running the ball, but he still needs to have common sense every now and again. At worse they kick the same field goal, but do it with less time remaining on the clock or force a TO.

I do agree it was abandoned when it appeared to be having some success early.

No, Dak pressing is no real thing.

It took Dak going down to realize this is our recipe for success. Blessing in disguise. Stick with it!
It didn't hurt that on at least two run plays Smith DESTROYED the defender. On the one sweep, he blasted his man out then blasted the second guy out.

Moore said that Dak audibled into pass plays 12 out of the 28 run plays called against Tampa. I doubt Rush audible once into a pass play from a run play yesterday. He "kill kill kill" numerous times and it was always a run.
