Does it seem to anyone that the players in this regime of coaching are growing and progressing at a better rate than the previous coaching staff? It seems like there's a guys every off season that are getting better, and are making plays during the season. I look at a guy like Marquise Bell who isn't get much attention, I think he's grown, and is having a decent pre season. There's so many guys to name, I just think these coaches get the best out of these players, and these players want to play well for these coaches. Please give your thoughts

With all the years that Mike McCarthy has been coaching, only two assistances have gone on to become head coaches in the NFL. Bob McAdoo and Joe Philbin.

I am waiting on someone on this staff to become the DL whisperer. Need some juice there and not seeing it yet.

No. They developed Steele and..nobody else. Maybe Biadasz?

They've drafted well, but it's hard to really give them credit for developing guys like CD, Diggs and Micah.

Part of it could be they are drafting better. MM changed how McClay and the scouts looks at and evaluate players entering the draft.
Not that McLay needed that, it is because MM & DQ approach was different. For the better.

McClay still finds talented players on his own as well. On other teams PS, cuts, UDFA's.
So they have been bringing in better players, so they are more coachable.

Garrett wanted to mold players to their style, and we seen that did not work so well. MM wants players, period, then will adjust to their strengths.
Micah is a perfect example. Now of course they want the best player, as some adjustment to fit their style is necessary. They do a much better job.

This is a different NFL. You don’t have time to learn the game behind the starters. You drafted you’re expected to start or be a back up

That was supposed to be Leon Lett and Rod Marinelli. So, yeah... Still need one of those.

Yes

Jason Garrett was a motivator...but whatever you were skills and progression wise is usually where you'd stay for the most part mainly because his scheme didnt change so it required more motivation than actual progression if that makes since

Mike McCarthy, Kellen Moore and Mike Nolan
the offense under this era saw players progress, love Kellen or Hate him he did get players to progress along with Mike

Mike Nolan was pure regression...I have no positives about his coaching on defense nothing should be that bad....ALL the players regressed

Mike McCarthy and Dan Quinn
player growth imo is at an all time high...especially from Quinn's side of things i cant give enough praise
