Did you know that since 1978 when the NFL went to a 16 game schedule that no NFC team that did not win its division has advanced to the Super Bowl? In the AFC, it has happened 5 times: 1980 Oakland, 1985 Pats, 1992 Bills, 1997 Broncos, and 2000 Ravens. I guess the only wildcard team in the NFC that has ever made it to the Super Bowl was the 1975 Cowboys- but that was under the 14 game season.
