I didn’t mind the lackluster performance against the Texans as I have come to realize this team does Not handle success well – they tend to read the press clippings, let things get to their head, and overlook certain opponents.

My biggest concern right now is we have lost 3 “starters” in the last 2 games (A Brown, J. Hankins, and T. Steele) – We don’t have the depth to help mitigate these losses especially in the secondary and OL. I have ZERO confidence Tyron Smith and Peters can stay healthy enough to play 4 + games…. nor do I have much confidence in Joseph or Wright at CB.

Hope they prove me wrong.. Dak MUST cut down on the INT’s and the defense MUST get back to form in order for us to have any chance of winning playoff game/s….

I will be happy to go 2-2 (worse case) the remaining 4 games… Lets see if our Boyz can circle the wagons and make some noise in the playoffs…

Honestly im the opposite. Im not too concerned with losing any of those guys.

Brown was getting torched on deep passes every game

Hankins is an upgrade over Bohanna and Gallimore but we were having more issues with runs to the edges

Steele is the biggest loss, but hopefully the old man can fill in at RT for the rest of the season

The biggest reason to me is that we havent played a complete game since the Vikings and even that game doesnt look as impressive considering the Lions manhandled them on Sunday

By your statement, that's 12-5. I am fine with that as long as this team continues to play to their strengths during the playoffs. We will get some of these injured guys back at that time. We just need to survive the last 4 games and prepare for what happens after.

I worry about these injuries adding up too. And injuries seem to come in bunches for some reason. I have always said, the healthiest teams win at the end of the season. Teams like Dallas, SF, the Giants, Chargers and others are all banged up right now. The Cowboys lost 3 starters who are not coming back. Against top teams that is going to make a difference. I know the expression is, everyone has injuries this time of year, and that's true. But some teams have more than others.

Another great quote in football is, "Depth is great, until you have to use it!"

Until Dallas stops playing down to the level of these bad teams, you have every reason to be pessimistic. This seems to be a problem every year. It seems to be a big part of the culture in Dallas. They are allergic to success.

You're correct about Dak's INT's, but we have to stop turnovers all together. The Turpin muff was bigger that the INTs as far as us getting ahead early, we let them right back with the ball in their redzone instead of us driving out for another score.

Consistency....My biggest concern at this point is Dak and his erratic play
I’m no hater or homer of Dak...but the kind of play I saw last Sunday with the indecisiveness and nervous style he showed that we’ve all seen too much of here and there will doom this team in playoffs once again IF he can’t straighten it out.....and evidence of that is fleeting I think
Hope I’m wrong

A few things.

Anthony Brown will be missed...but no one can tell me that Joseph can't get beat 3 or 4 times a game like Brown was doing at times. I think the CB position is fine for now.

The depth at tackle is fine now that Tyron is back. If he gets again then so be it but right now he's healthy. Tackle spot is fine. Better than its been in years.
Hanksins was a part time player and will return by the time the playoffs start. We've been getting solid interior play from Odigizuwha. They're fine.

They didn’t have a lackluster performance Sunday; they simply had some execution failures. A lackluster team wouldn't have stopped the Texans from scoring after the INT setting them up at the 4 yard line. And then driving 98 yards to score the game winner.

There were a small handful of plays that made that game what it was starting with Turpin’s fumble. He’s flirted a fumble a couple of times this season and been fortunate not to lose the ball. He wasn’t so fortunate this time.

Then one of Houston’s TDs should’ve been an INT, but Wilson simply couldn’t find the ball in the air. As a group, the Dallas DBs do not track the ball well in the air except Diggs.

Dak was just off for most of the game beginning with the opening drive. They ultimately scored a TD, but he missed 2 wide open receivers on that drive - Gallup and Schultz. Gallup was so open that even after he stopped and dove back for the ball the DB still wasn’t in position to make a play on the ball. Schultz probably would’ve also scored, but Dak sailed the ball a yard over him. That was a tough throw to make, rolling right & throwing back across his body, but it’s a throw he has to make. In tennis terms, that was an unforced error. But not due to lackadaisical effort.

And then only 3 called penalties doesn’t indicate a lazy or lackluster effort.

It's not necessarily about their record. We are coming to a point in the season that you want to be playing your best ball. They aren't. A hallmark of the Garrett era peaking in October and November.

It's not even about winning the division anymore - I don't think the Eagles will lose more than 1 of the last 4 games. It's all about peaking at the right time and being relatively "healthy" - we have neither going for us right now so hope is dwindling....

But hey, you never know what can happen with 4 games left with regard to injuries on other teams that can even the playing field....

This team has not proven enough for them or any fan to have confidence.
They have potential, but got to stay hungry.
I have not seen that the past 2 games.
The best team does not win.
The team that plays best wins.
