It's all a ploy. He'll be back in uniform. He may indeed sit out at least a season, but he'll be back.

HE has to give back 5 million if he sits. I'll believe it when he files the papers with the NFL, which they haven't received.

Talk about his path through the NFL out of the draft.... Bill Walsh told the 49ers to draft him... instead the ignored Walsh and took Drunkenmiller.... I wonder how Jake would have done in San Fran..... not even a big fan... but I wonder if its like one of those movies where you get to see your life if a certain event happened early on in life... like that Jim Belushi movie.... anyways....

He has one year left on his contract right?? If he sites out a year and comes back will he still have to play out that year or will he be a FA??
