Draft Day CZ POLL: What will the Cowboys do in first round?

What will the Cowboys do with the 12th pick in round one? There are more options than I could list so if you don’t think any of them are likely, choose none of the above.

I chose trade down, although I’m not convinced that’s what they do. I like a trade down if we can land somewhere between 15-20 and also pick up an extra 3rd or a 4th. That would give us more picks in the top half of the talent pool.

I can't say I have a strong opinion.
Jerry has beat most of my enthusiasm out of me at this point in my fandom.

2012 was terrible. Who wasn’t begging them to pick Fletcher Cox? Everything else I agree with.

Of the top 11 players on NFL.com 2 are TEs (Warren, Loveland), 2 are sure to be gone by our pick (Hunter, Carter), and 2 are boom/bust (Nolen, Johnson). That leaves Membou, Graham, Williams, and Green. Membou and Graham are most likely gone and probably Williams and Green has some pretty serious off field stuff to consider. Besides, Green isn't really a set the edge type of DE. After them the draft grades are pretty flat from 12-24 (6.45-6.4). I think they could trade down add a top 100 pick and still get an impact starter at a position of need which are many.

Passing on Graham if he's there at 12 would be like DAL passing on TJ Watt in 2017

Banks (OT) is another option at 12. I'd like to see Banks at LT, move Guyton to RT and let him battle for the job with Steele

I think beyond those guys, trading down might be a decent idea.
