Based off of PFF Mock Draft Machine and tried to keep it somewhat realistic based on who Cowboys have met with and / or their type of players. Leaning a little more towards what I think Cowboys would do as opposed to what I'd do - but still like the results.

FA Signings:

WR: OBJ (WR2)
OL: Jason Peters (swing OT / OG)
DT: Jon Hankins and Carlos Watkins

Draft Picks:

1: Zay Flowers - WR (Will rotate in / out with MG as WR3 and give you gadget plays, kick return ability and be long term solution as WR 2/3)
2. Daiyan Henley - LB (Will take over Barr's role from last year as WILL LBr - + athlete with great coverage ability. Will not have to come off the field)
3. Luke Schoonmaker - TE (add a + athlete to the TE room to build off of with Ferg / Hendershot)
4. Izzy Abanikanda - RB (Bigger bodied RB that is a smooth, fast and productive. Will need to improve pass pro to become a 3 down backer but potential RB of the future)
5. Cam Young - NT (Long armed NT who won't give us much against the pass but developmental run plugger)
5. Keaton Mitchell - RB (Undersized RB with legit homerun speed. Would be a great option to pair with Izzy for the future)
5. Jakorian Bennett - CB (Elite long speed but meodicre instincts - flyer pick on a high end athlete hoping he can develop his eyes / instincts)

Like the top 4 picks, but I need more at corner. Also, think you can get a linebacker later.

Yah, I’m 100% open to CB as early as round 1 the board just didn’t fall that way in this mock.

Agree on LBr but think Henley is a legit 3 down prospect and is arguably in conversation as the best WILL LBr in the class. I think after the first tier it’s a pretty good dropoff.

not bad. Not bad. Only gripe I have is I would have liked to see an offensive lineman taken at some point. Maybe instead of the 2nd RB a versatile OG/C.

I agree - I was on the fence about taking a midnrounder at G.

Prioritized short term fix at G and long term fix at RB to get TP money off the books.

They did talk to several off the ball linebackers, so it's possible, but I feel they want to see Clark start next to Lve. Makes sense to start developing a future start though.

Could be. I think Clark’s physicality and play style makes more sense at MLB. He looked lost last year so might be ready until LVE is done.

I think Henley playing WILL doesn’t interfere with that.

They were looking more at will types at the combine, so you could be correct.

Yah I think if they did draft one it’d be more WILL. That being said Eli Ricks and the Syracuse CB are usually available 2nd round who Id be fine with.

LOVE the Garret kid from Syracuse but he’s 5’11 so the Cowboys might not.

There will be some long defensive backs in that range, Rush, Brents, Skinner, etc. Still waiting on the rest of fa to put together a realistic outlook. Believe we are going to see Beckham, Rush and a DT signed.

What are your thoughts about Muku moving to corner, does this lessen the need? Also, hearing Lewis isn't going to be ready for camp, think it's best to move on and get the cap savings.

I see him as a backup at best. Don’t see him as a good enough athlete to be a quality CB.

Thinking the same, though probably pushes one of Joseph/Wright off the roster.
I think ideally he takes over the Kearse role eventually.

CBs that are 6’3+ usually are just too stiff to match up against NFL quickness.

You know Quinn loves length, the Kansas State corner has the same height with better length.

Yea, I we’d give the other guys more looks.

Williams from Syracuse is one of my favorite CBs in the class but he’s 5’11. Super twitchy with quick feet and hips. Someone like him would match up better with Devonta / Dotson etc than all these trees we keep drafting.

Corner class is so deep, we probably could even get a quality one in the 3rd. With Gilmore, they now don't have to take a day 1 starter, but one who can be brought along slowly to take the job in 2024. We always say that, but they are usually forced into action earlier. Think day 2 is where we draft one, that's will probably be the value area.

We have Diggs, just got Gilmore, have Bland on the rise, and Lewis is still on the roster. And Israel Mukamuma played decent when needed. Not even mentioning Joseph and Wright.

Need to draft a couple of WR, TE, RB, OL and DL.

Not even sure we should draft a CB unless a great player falls in our laps.
