A few observations - some obvious, some not so obvious!!

1. The offensive line is completely inept. The loss of Flozell, lack of a quality, experienced RT, and the free-agent whiff on Rivera have completley handicapped the offense. The mose unfortunate thing with regard to the OL is that the unit is the highest paid on the team, and we cannot afford to spend big on any more OL. We can't cut Rivera and Allen, Adams, and Rivera are on the books for big dollars for a few more years. I think this takes us out of free-agency for this position. Bad drafts have killed the OL (i.e Rogers, A. Johnson)

2. The Boys need to find a young QB to develop. This QB MUST have the ability to move around in the pocket to buy some time and creat plays when he doesn't have perfect protection. I am a western NY native and the Bledsoe we got agains the Giant and yesterday is the Bledsoe I saw the past 3 years in games that actually meant something!!!! He has very little pocket presence, is unable to move around adequately to buy time when the pocket collapses and generally craps the bed in big games. We don't need a Mike Vick back there, but we need someone with a little wiggle to him. Tom Brady doesn't scramble but moves around just enough. Same with all the good ones. Basically what we have is Kurt Warner!!! Trade for or sign a young free-agent (Matt Schaub??) or give Henson a shot! If we play Bledsoe for another year it basically is a wasted year. P.S. This is what Buffalo and NE already decided to do and are better off for it. Bledsoe will never take you to the promised land.

3. It is very painful to watch Demarcus Ware attempt to rush the passer at this point in his career. I realize he is just a rookie and I hope he continues to develop, but at this point I see absolutely NO pass rush abilities other than pure speed. EVERY snap of the ball he tries to speed rush around the LT and continually is ridden past the QB unsuccesfully. If you watch Merriman, you will see multiple moves (spin move, bull rush, swim move, etc..). Even if they don't result in a sack, they give you hope for the future. With Ware, once the LTs adjusted to his speed, his is now completely a non-factor.

All-in-all, I feel like this season has been wasted and that we are not playing to our full capabilities. We are regressing at a time when the other teams are peaking.

I realize this is long, but this serves as my therapy!!!
