1 - WR Jalin Hyatt WR 6'0 185 - avg 18.9 yards - explosive. Biggest need
2 -OG/C Steve Avila - 6'3 334 - powerful guard with flex - too much fun to have him next to Tyler Smith
3 - QB - Jake Haener 6'1 200 - MVP of the Senior Bowl - great arm talent. It's real Dak. If the 49ers can do Prudy, so can Dallas
4 - RB - Zach Evans 6'0 215 - this guy is uber talented - 3.84 cone
5 - TE - Lachlan Pitts 6'6 255 - something about TEs that are 6'6 and can box out glide that scream Witten
5 - CB - Keidron Smith 6'2 204 - fits the outside and size combination that is worth a shot at this point
6 - WR/KR/RB- Deuce Vaughn 5'6 176 - WR - slot receiver/kicker returner/punter returner -

Love the Avila pick. O-line is still a rebuild in progress and adding him would be a nice piece.

Hyatt will be gone. He is the best of a weak class. Plus he has some amazing wheels.

Don't like it, I see corner has a top need and you waited to late 5th to address the need.

Hyatt at 1. Ehhhh.

No DL? Ehhhhhh

I do like Evans in the 4th.

Not a big fan of this draft.

In my scenario, we sign Payne for DL I. Free agency. The defense is not what’s costing the team playoff victories- obviously

A top corner isn’t there at 26. I’m using Drafttek as an unbiased measure for who is available. Did CB hurt Dallas in the playoffs? No.

yes ill take this draft:
Avila, Haener, Evens and Smith are my pet cats this year.

Just like WR, the team always has prioritized the corner position. They have 2 legitimate corners, 1 goes down, we are in big, big trouble

You have Jourdan Lewis, Bland, Joseph and Wright. It’s not empty.

Having said that, you can’t draft a corner in the first if they do not have a grade for it.

No, I get it not reaching in rd 1. Joseph/Wright could handle starting when the team needed them, basically they are just special teams players at this juncture, it wouldn't surprise me if one of them is off the roster at the end of camp, Lewis is coming off of major surgery and the team get 5 million cap space if released, no guarantee he returns.

The team is going to sign a bridge starter in fa so they don't have to reach to fill a need, but if they fail to land one in a loaded class, that is poor drafting for a premium position.

It’s only poor drafting if they pass on a very good CB in that round.

Which they may do, especially if they take a player like Robinson at 26 who plays at a lesser valued position. Also, do not expect them to take a QB, until day 3. Yes, Jerry can say they want to draft one, but they are going to extend Dak's contract to open up cap money.

I really like this with the DT signing you mentioned.

I would substitute Chase Brown in the 4th, but that is a personal preference.

I understand. I thought maybe Macintosh from Georgia or Israel. In the end, I thought Zach played in a recovery from injury year but still shined. Any of them are worthy in the 4th.

No matter what the mock draft is, there are too many holes to fill with ONLY the draft. The Jones need to fill one of two holes with actually "good" players. Not like a waste in James Washington type. Don't need to break the bank either because that bank will be needed to sign Parsons/Lambs and maybe Diggs.
