My brother and I were upset that Mom didn't allow us to stay up late to watch the premiere of the 6 Million Dollar Man. It was on at 11 for some reason, and this was pre-VCR. So we went to bed, but then snuck up afterwards to the TV room at 11 and kept the lights off and the TV's volume down really low and started watching. We didn't get past the first couple scenes before my mom stormed into the room in a rage. Did we ever catch trouble! I've never seen her so mad. My hiney hurts just thinking about it.

Bed time is bed time. Don't try to trick Mama. You can't fool Mama.
And btw, it HIS idea ... my brother's.

Nope. You sure can't fool your mama, and you dang sure can't hide things from them. I've got a list of things I thought I'd hidden in clever places as a teen. She found them almost every time.
