Practice doesn't always make perfect for Cowboys

The Cowboys feel good about how they have practiced in the days leading up to their game with San Diego.

That may not be as comforting as you think.

"We're exhausting ourselves this week to be prepared and actually take it out on the field on Sunday,'' linebacker Keith Brooking said. "We had our best week of practice last week and I felt very confident going into that game, but we didn't take it out on the field. That's going to be important for us.''

One positive the Cowboys can cling to is that they haven't lost back-to-back games this season. Keep that up for the final four games of the regular season, and they will be in the playoffs.

"We're up for the challenge,'' Brooking said. "We realize what's ahead of us.

"We control our own destiny.''

I agree. You can practice great all week but if you don't bring it on Sunday then it means nothing. Last week Dallas allowed a few big plays to kill us we can't afford to make those mistakes this week.

If we get an early lead like last week, we need to keep the pedal to the metal.

Can't let up this week, .. and no lead is big enough against P. Rivers.

make every play count, you play the whole 60 minutes, not just some of the time, all the time.

I agree. While technically this is not a do or die game the Cowboys must treat it like a post season type game. Get after SD and do not let up.
