- You could hear a pin drop at the River Ridge Complex early in practice on Sunday when Sam Williams went down writhing in pain during a special teams drill that saw him clutch his left knee. The medical cart came out and carried him off the field, as some fear the worst. When walking off after practice, Jerry Jones said that Williams is on his way to getting an MRI and that the Cowboys "didn't like what we saw" on the injury. - (Nick Harris)
- DeMarvion Overshown is so anxious to get back to playing football at a high level following his torn ACL that even head coach Mike McCarthy stated they had to scale him down — from special teams — to keep to the plan for his return. He's added some lean muscle to make himself more durable and to increase his impact when he gets his hands on someone, but without losing any of his quickness. Overshown is moving well and being integrated heavily into the first-team defensive reps. – (Patrik Walker)
- Eric Kendricks hauled in his first interception of camp on a throw from Dak Prescott that he cut off over the middle. Kendricks was working ball drills with secondary coach Al Harris earlier in practice, and it immediately translated to the field during the 7-on-7 session. - (Nick Harris)
- The absence of Trevon Diggs due to his presence on the team's PUP list is being taken advantage of by rookie fifth-round pick Caelen Carson. The latter is stacking great days thus far in Oxnard — his physical style of play making life very difficult for opposing receivers at the line of scrimmage but, not to be forgotten, his ability to cover is just as impressive. Carson reeled in a sensational interception downfield on a throw from Cooper Rush that was perfectly placed, with Carson elevating to snatch it away at the last second. – (Patrik Walker)
- Here comes Tyler Guyton, folks. Make no mistake about it, there will inevitably be hiccups as the rookie first-round pick gets his sea legs in the NFL and at left tackle, but his non-stop work ethic during the summer is paying off like gangbusters. On Day 4 of practice, he was again taking reps with the first team but, this time, it wasn't rookie second-round pick Marshawn Kneeland lined up against him; and this was full team drills, not a walkthrough. Guyton was thrown into the fire against none other than Micah Parsons … and Guyton won … more than once. – (Patrik Walker)
- Another day, another big performance for wide receiver Tyron Billy-Johnson, as he became a trusted receiver for Dak Prescott, Cooper Rush and Trey Lance throughout the day. Rush isn't typically the one to take downfield shots, but he trusted Billy-Johnson on a deep ball down the right sideline that the New Orleans native hauled in and ran in for a touchdown. The depth of the wide receiver room has a lot of names, but Billy-Johnson is stamping his early on in Oxnard. - (Nick Harris)
