Between now and start of free agency on March 13th, we have the combine which always changes the rankings of player and the yearly cap restructures and resigning of our own guys.

To preface the draft mock, Cowboys resign Tyron Smith LT for two years, put qualifying offer on Rico Dowdle RB as he is a RFA, resign Stephon Gilmore CB for two years, resign Trent Sieg LS for one year, resign Tony Pollard RB for 3 year deal, extend Dak Prescott QB for 5 years, extend CeeDee Lamb for 5 years, extend Micah Parsons for 5 years, restructure Zach Martin RG, and Trevon Diggs CB, and designate Post June 1st cuts of Michael Gallup.

As "all in" free agents signings,
Grover Stewart DT, great to plugging the middle, has some pass rush, teams do not run on him, 3 year contract
Leki Fotu DT, massive DT who always is double teamed, young guy, good rotational with Stewart, allows Mazi to be rotational with Osi
Chase Young DE, big upgrade over Armstrong, seems to finally realizing how good he can be, if Williams steps up, nice 3 rotation with Lawrence
Devin White ILB, smart, great size, fast, great as run stopper and can cover, will allow more freedom for Parsons
Derrick Henry RB, with Pollard back to where he played before with Zeke, this combo of Henry/Pollard will be very, very successful

Draft:
10. Joe Alt OT Notre Dame - believes as an "all in" move Jerry moves up to take the LT for the future who can start right away with Tyron Smith as the swing OT, might cost a 2025 1st but worth it to fix the OL. See them leaving Tyler Smith at LG, T. J. Bass becoming the starting OC with Hoffman as the backup, Martin still the RG and hopefully a Terrence Steele fully recovered from his surgery after 2022 season with A. Richards as backup OG and Earl Bostick as backup OT along with Matt Waletzko OT.

56. Edgerrin Cooper LB Texas A&M - probably best LB in the draft, can play inside or outside, fiery tackler, decent cover guy, plays the run well. LB position would be in much better shape with Cooper, Clark, Parsons, White, and Overshown. Probably add another vet in week 3/4 of free agency.

87. Cooper Beebee OG/OC - can play all interior line positions, big, strong, quick, eventual replacement for Zach Martin

172. Malik Dunlap CB Texas Tech - has the size and speed Zimmer likes, could also be seen as a safety, good blitz guy, also good ST guy

204. Jaylon Wright RB Tennessee - has a lot of Pollard qualities and a good third down back

231. Myles Cole DE Texas Tech - loads of upside, has the length, size, foot quickness, 1st step and strength but is raw, could learn from Lawrence

242. Louis Rees-Zammit WR Welsh rugby - raw WR prospect with Ty Hill speed but 6'3 200, strong, great hands, tough runner/blocker, worth the gamble

Why would a top 100 running back be available at 204?

With what $$ are we acquiring all those FAs? resigning the cowboys players alone will put us right at cap even with all the restructuring.

I like your effort but it is not realistic with those FA. Love the DTs FA

There are some on this forum that are already complaining about the lack of draft picks and the immense void between some of the choices.

I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever, that some of those guys belong to the "all in" camp. They don't even see the connection.

Don't necessarily disagree but depending on which board you read on the RBs, he ranks anywhere from 5th to 8th to 10th to 17th to 23rd and actually as a UFA on one board, so I took the middle.

On free agents, was just trying to go by what Zimmer actually uses most times and pretty sure Jerry is going to rely on him for what he needs.

DT - Stewart, Foku, Kinlaw, Settle
DE - Young, Epenesa,
OLB - Chaisson, Uche
ILB - White, Gay, Bush

All those fit in various ways that Zimmer runs his defense and all are under 28 years old and all have a market value of $10 million a year avg (most under $7 million). Just don't believe "all in" by Jerry means $20+ million a year average for guys like Hunter or Jones.

Why not sign more running backs. Dude, appreciate the effort. But ZERO chance they resign Pollard and add Henry. Zero. They would be stupid if they don’t let Pollard walk. Rico and a draft pick are fine.
