We are now up to 13 games without a sack from our starting 3 tech.

When will he get off the snide and actually get to the QB like his position needs to?

Will it be one of these last two regular season games? The playoffs? Next season, when he is inexplicably still the starter?

Let's see who can guess the correct week. I have week 2 of 2024. Now you go.

:hammer: ......You would think @ some point the guy would stumble into a garbage sack....but nope. AWOL....

@ this point I'm thinking getting Sam Williams some snaps @ DT on 3rd and long situations.

This is all gonna blow up in your face when he almost gets a finger on Goff next week and everyone tells you how dumb you are.

I dont get how this guy still has supporters.

I dont care what grade PFF gives him, dude is not making impact plays at all.
Very few DTs make “impact plays”. He’s not Aaron Donald. We know , but he’s best DT we have on the roster …… which I realize isn’t saying much.

This morning people are talking about the Ravens defense. It starts with their DTs. They push offensive linemen around. They push the pocket. The Cowboys have not had that sine Jay Ratliff.

When you have DTs who can occupy blockers, and keep them from getting to the second level, your LBs can flow to the ball at full speed and make big tackles. I like Osa. He is a good player, but he is not the kind of DT that is going to dominate the LOS.

I've paid attention to that since you mentioned it. Its unreal how poor our DLINE production is from guys not named Parsons or Lawrence. DLaw is mainly producing in run defense but he is noticed.

Don't forget that blip from Hatcher in 2013, recording 11 sacks that year.
Haven't had much since then

Seeing how next year is Osa's contract year, I expect him to show his true potential next year lol

The Dallas scouting team looks for quick, fast, finesse and unique. Most other teams look for solid, committed, fast and football smart.

Didn't Jason Hatcher have 11 sacks at the interior ?
what position was Lai Glover ?.... 3-4 DE ?

It's extremely difficult to get impact interior guys - even more so than DEs.
Whether NFL draft, trade or FA, if you can acquire one, you lock 'em up for years, imo

We didn't go after Jevon Hargrave in FA, probably cuz the club likes Osa so much.

Well they definitely don’t make an impact in Dallas anymore.

But I’m old enough to remember Leon Lett, Hennings, J. Johnson, Casillas, and of course Randy White, Dutton…and someone named Bob Lilly.

Just amazes me how much the Cowboys have ignored and de-prioritized DT over the last 20 years

He is another person that is pushed around at DT. That's the difference between us and teams like the Ravens. He would be a DE on their defense. But noooo Dan Quinn loves an undersized defense. Osa stats look like someone who is playing nose tackle not 3 tech.
