Preseason Game ?

I'd guess a quarter.

That said, if both our starting OTs are not going to be playing, I wouldn't mind if he just hands the ball off a little bit more than usual.

I agree with the hand offs, he needs to let his arm rest a bit for the real deal. But if I know Tony he would not agree.

its been asked, but is the game nationally televised? i cant find the link

Yes it is televised nationally and is the first preseason game (except for tonight's HOF game betweenn Steelers & Saints) on Thursday night on Fox at 7 PM CST (8PM EST). Can't wait just to see most of our players if only for a few plays. Don't want anybody to be hurt but do look forward to seeing our backups and younger players. I expect the defense to play vanilla cause no need to show anything about what we doing although expect the whole world knows more then we'd like given youtube, etc.

Thank's a bunch:D

cant WAIT for this

I say he either plays until he scores a touchdown or a whole quarter

Wade Phillips said on his PC today, that he will play Tony Romo more than most teams starting QB's, because he is younger.

As for the rest of the starters, he said about the same as every other team.

How long do you think Tony will play against Indy?

I would not expect to see him play more than 2 to 3 series at most.

One thing's for sure.

We won't see Peyton Manning but for one series.

Have you seen their OL? With Glenn retiring, and Ware having the camp he is, then I would make sure to not have Manning out long.

Yeah, I can see Romo needing a bit more time, but I think Wade also said he would not leave him out there with subpar( 2nd string ) protection either. I think it will depend on how much protection the T's are giving him in how long he plays.

Free has been the better pass protector than Marten and McQuiston should be able to hold his own I would think.

I would guess 2 series or 1 quarter, whichever comes last.

I think he will get pulled at some point during the second quarter unless he just lights it up early. He needs the reps. He is still an inexperienced QB and is now learning a new scheme. One or two series won't cut it.

Sweet sassy-mollassy I cannot wait for this. It's like an enormous orgasm of football - our first game against the Colts, madden's release on the 14th...Oh, it's a glorious time.

Also Romo will probably play the first quarter, if we get a few possessions in. One possession in the second quarter at most. That's more than most QBs in their first game.

I thought the standard was one series for the first game, a quarter for the second, a half for the third and back to half a quarter/a couple of a possessions for the fourth.

So having said that, I don't think we'd see much more then 2 possessions from Romo.
