Press conference on Sat and NOT on Monday caught me off guard

Seems KLBK wasn't quite the definitive source they made themselves out to be...

That's what happens when a news outlet ignores one of the basic rules of journalism, in their lust to get the "scoop"... you never, EVER run a story without independent verification from at least one, preferably two, independent sources...

They didn't and wound up steppin' on their johnsons... the funny thing is, they were fallin' all over themselves, congratulating themselves on their "scoop"...

It was like Mike "Turd" Florio of ProFootballTalk infamy had suddenly become the news director at KLBK...

I see it totally different. I think what happened is that the story broke, and the team, the agent, the player and everyone who had any connection with any of them started getting flooded with phone calls. I'll bet this was originally set for Monday but when the cat got out, they moved it up.

One thing that was said at the press conference made me believe this. Drew Rosenhaus said towards the end of the PC that they had to go and get the plane. Meaning they had to be somewhere. There were other plans made for that time but this had to go down so as not to leave this thing linger any longer.
