NFL All-Pro Teams selected by the Associated Press, the Pro Football Writers of America, and the Sporting News have way more merit.
The men and women of these organizations - who are paid to follow, look up, and review the games... critiquing how the teams and individuals performed - are a more accurate assessment of who to recognize as the best players at their positions this 2022 season.
Or any other season for that matter.

Best thing about The Pro Bowl - the "game" has been vanquished.

On second thought - after a glance at the process and format -I will particpate in this inaugural setup of "The Pro Bowl Games" - an NFL Fan participation event.

However - I stlil stand by my earlier statements about the AP, FPWA, and the SN selections being the legitaimate recognition of outstanding play for the 2022 season.

Time for the popularity contest.

Basically what it is and has been- for a LONG TIME NOW -hence elimination of the actual game this post-season.

• morphed into an exhibition since the 70's when many of the honorees were playing in the Super Bowl opted out because the game was held AFTER the NFL Champoinship Game because WIN OR LOSE - THERE WAS NO MOTIVATION TO PLAY IN THE PRO BOWL.

•The same thing happened when the league moved the game between the conference championships and the Super Bowl - Pro Bowl honorees playing in the Big Game opted out for the obvious reason.

• Players that were / felt they were too beat up -nicked up, or had a significant injury as the regular season wound down couldn't play.
