I didn't see a thread on this so, I thought it was fitting to give the second year undrafted WR some love.

Let's say that he shows up again next week in a big way. Does that change the dialog on this WR debate?

Lenoir works hard and has shown the ability to make some really good catches. The problem is that he's not particularly fast so I'm not sure how much he can hold his own against starting-quality corners. The great hands he's showing are going to make him looking really good at times.

The key for him to make the roster, though, is going to be special teams contributions.

To me, it’s his job to lose a spot at this point.

Lenoir - I think they find a way to keep on the 53. He'll definitely be on somebody's 53, IMO.

Hurns
Gallup
Beasley
TWill - Coaches value experience in the scheme.

Deonte Thompson - Speed.
Noah Brown - The coaches really liked him last season as a blocker.

Tavon Austin - Does he count against the WR or RB depth chart?

I believe Hurns, Gallup, Beasley, Williams, Austin are locks. Thats 5, I think Thompson is the 6th depending on how well Austin is down the field. I like Lenoir alot, I hope he gets that 6th spot, or they carry 7.

Unless Deonte Thomas shows up in these pre-season games (and even if he does), Lance may be knocking him off the roster due to his ability to catch and chemistry with the QBs. Noah is going to get waived and will probably have a 70% chance of getting back on our practice squad.

Lenoir, as Broaddus or Babe said last night, kind of has the main Dez skill set ..

He can track the ball so well into his hands - and has good hands when it hits his hands. And is so competitive like Dez.

But like Dez - Lenoir is neither too fast or too quick. .. And he lacks Dez's strength it looks like. Not so big neither.

I'd like to see him more against the best DBs this preseason, to see if he can overcome. Dude looks like he wants it so bad.

I think there are several tough calls the coaches will have to make this season on who makes it and who is released. Not a bad problem to have.

You've got to love the way Lance Lenoir worked hard in the offseason and improved his standing so significantly with this team. He's put himself in line to possibly be granted a spot within the C-boys' WR corps. He's become one of Dak's favorite targets in camp -- understandably so. He's one to watch. That sideline catch for a TD last night was a thing of beauty. There's simply no ignoring something like that!

So,yer' of the speculation that our #85 resides unmolested on the P.S.,,, all the while, our x88 remains in 'crack-town' U.S.A.?

The numbers are complicated
I think it’s really brown and lance for the last spot
My hope is Bo and white on PS so they don’t take spots

Noah Brown is valuable to us because of S/T value and blocking, but I don't think he's shown much at all in the receiving department to make some team add him to their 53.

Dez's situation is unique. He probably could've signed for some teams already but he's still sulking.
