We all know the stats for sacks but I'd be very interested in seeing how many QB pressures Ware has and how that number compares to Merriman's or any other pass rusher. Can anybody provide this info? Adam?!

I would also like to know. I don't want to downplay Merriman's performance but in the games I have seen it seems he only gets into the backfield when he goes untouched.

Pressures are nice, but you have to ALSO get to the QB from time to time.

Ebenezer Ekuban seemed to always "Pressure" the QB. Pressure's are a lot more effective when they're followed up with a hit on the QB (whether he has the ball or not) then they when you run right behind the QB and leave him staning up.

True, but there are also occasions when a player gets a sack due to the pressure provided by another player. I remember Haley having relatively modest sack numbers his first two years in Dallas, yet the guy was always pressuring the QB and causing havoc. I think pressures AND sacks should be looked at when evaluating the player.

You are being too kind. I don't remember Ekuban even getting pressure on the QB. He was a non-factor after his back injury. And Wiley was even worse. Talk about a bad move.

Haley didn't always get the sack, but he hit the QB a fair number of times. Right now Ware is doing his best impersonation of Ekuban. Rush wide and "force" the QB to step up but actually have zero chance of hitting or sacking him. He needs to be more aggressive when he turns the corner. Quit trying to run by untouched, dip his shoulder, and rip under the Tackles arms. He tries to either bull rush or go untouched too often. He needs to do something a bit in between.

Not to mention his spin move is the worst I've ever seen.

Well if any info on hits could be provided, that would be useful as well.
