I listen to a local sports talk station on AM around here. One of the guys on there said that Ahmed Green ran over Roy Williams. Can anyone confirm of deny?

Roy did a poor job of tackling. He looked a bit out of position as well, kinda falling back when trying to make the tackle, at least from what I remember.

Yep, after throughly beating Dallas' starters by a touchdown and a missed extra point the City of Houston has planned a four million dollar parade route past the Galleria area and on to the sight of the great victory at Reliant Stadium.

In honor of the pre-season win this day will hence forth be known as "Our Super Bowl" Day, in reverence of the triumph over the hated Dallas Cowboys...in preseason fashion.

A giant monument is to be erected near San Jacinto commemorating this historic occasion, a life size bust of Matt Shaub will hold the head of Rowdy in his hand while Ahman Green is depicted running over a calf.

At this time next year thousands will pilgrimage to the site to worship before the Baal of their choice, a preseason victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Now onward to 3-13 say the Texan fans with gusto.

Great.

This idiot hasn't shut his mouth about Jacobs "running through Williams and carrying him 8 yards into the endzone".

yes, he did, but only becuase Roy does not wrap up! He is really starting to get on my nerves. The only reason why I'm so upset with Roy is that he plays for the Boys, and his coverage skills is lacking as well, because he chooses to not focus on being a complete Defensive back.

But truth be told, I am upset with every player in the league that looks to just blow up a person instead of just making sure they get them tackled.
I want to know why tacklers think that they can not have good explosive hits when they wrap up.

I'm going on 43yrs old, and I can remember when we gave and received explosive hits and still wrapped up the ball carrier.

Jacobs has only two TD runs against us in his career -- 3-yarder and a 1-yarder, and neither of them came anywhere near Roy.

He didn't get Green wrapped up... but he sure as heck didn't get "ran over".

Roy didn't wrap up, Hamlin and Ware flat out took bad angles and missed.

All of the rest of the guys were about to meet Green as he was accelerating up the field... they just overran him because Roy was there to meet him head on.

Why is everyone so obsessed with this game?

If Tony Romo had made that ONE good throw to Owens, everyone here would have said how GREAT he was-instead, they say how HORRIBLE he was?

Same with the Green run-take that out, the Texans' O is kept in check, stat wise.

Wow-amazing how just a *couple* of plays turn everyone's mood *sour*.

It was much more than that for many of us that paid close attention to the game.

Winning and Losing wasn't so important... but being able to run the ball and stop the run was important... and we didn't do it, along with other things.

Just a bad performance. Its good they had it now rather than in the first few weeks of regular season. Hopefully this performance will re-focus them.
