Too many times, the media always focuses on the big names of any franchise, and there are many players that have played that were Pretty Damn Good in their own right.. So the question is:

Who is a former Cowboys player that you want fans of other teams to know about?

I plan to do a show called "The Hall of Very Good" which will include a team by team pick of "Who You Should Know About"

I don't think a lot of people remember just how good Eugene Lockhart was because of some of the bad Cowboy teams he played on.

But he was an absolute beast that was all over the field.

Danny White, he is not known enough considering he led a team to 3 back to back NFC Championship games.

Russell Maryland - good 'ol #67.

The guy was a force, and unsung hero, as a DT in the 90s dynasty. Much of the team's great run-stopping ability was because of him specifically, and that's something nobody ever talks about. It, and ne, was a key linchpin to the team's siccess. He is owed his due, IMHO!

I am guessing you mean unsung heroes.

Jerry Tubbs
Pettis Norman
Frank Clarke
Mike Gaechter
Dave Edwards
Dave Manders
Jethro Pugh
George Andrie
Ralph Neely
Herb Scott

That is a long list.

To shorten it some, start with our former greats who should be in the HOF and ROH.

Good suggestions.

It will sound weird, but....

Emmitt Smith.

I had to finally show guys at work some Emmitt highlights for them to see how good he was. They just default to the "Barry is better" talk.
