Question for the programmers out there

I am going to school to become a programmer/software engineer, I was wondering what languages you guys/gals recommend I should learn. At this momemnt I am leaning towards database desgin but havent really decided yet.

Any tips would be appreciated.

If you're going into database SQL is a must. After that I'm not sure which what route is best, Oracle seems to be a hot field right now with Sarbanes-Oxney. If you go Oracle I would reccomend knowing unix/C++ as well, if you can learn each of those you should be very hireable.

But that's just my opinion, hopefully others will chime in with different ideas..

Get a jump on C++.....maybe a little C#...
