Question for Xbox/Madden players

I have been considering buying the Xbox version instead of the pc version. I rented it and liked it alot. I also like that you can import the real senior class from NCAA football. The question I have is do you have to have an Xbox live subscription to receive the updates? Since I don't play online I can't see paying $30 a month just to get updates.

$30.00/month? XBL is the same as the cost of a game and it is an annual fee, approx. $50/year. As far as roster updates, yea they come via XBL.
