Fellow Zoners,

This coming week I will be fortunate enough to attend my first game at Texas Stadium ever! Needless to say I was thrilled we won vs Carolina because hopefully with a little help from the Eagles or Falcons I won't be traveling to Dallas to watch the equivalent of an exhibition game. My question is, what is the tailgating situation at TX Stadium? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

tailgating is allowed in every lot, gates(for parking) normally open 4 hours before
gametime ( sometimes for night games they open 5 hours), i will check
to see for sure. the stadium gates open 2 hours before gametime.
it is supposed to be 77 degrees Sunday with a low of 55. the corral referred to
by CrazyCowboy cost 3$ and is located by Gate 8 i believe.
i only know about the blue parking lots which are close to the stadium.
the pass for parking in those is 40$ face value. there is usually a good crowd
and i try to get there at least 3 hours before gametime but Sunday i will
be there as soon as the gates open if all goes according to plan.

that link is to the official website and lists their policies on everything.

im sure some other folks here can add more info.

Do yourself a favor and bring food and drinks to enjoy before the game. Plenty of tailgaters were there before the game we attended, and in retrospect, I wish we had gotten there much earlier and set something up.

I tailgate in the blue lot right behind the Corral every game. Good time each time. BTW, The Corral ain't all that -- just expensive. Now I usually go in (i.e. restroom break), but I certainly don't hang out there. Now if you have never been to a game, I'd say check it out for sure.

Thanks a lot guys, lots of good info. My friend who is from Dallas and is home for the holidays has the tickets so I'm not sure about section but I do know that her mom used to work for Tex Schramm and they're close to the 50 in the lower part of the second level.

i go to a lot of games but i dont spend much time looking around but
since this is your first time.....see the Tom Landry bronze outside gate 1.
the pro shop is close to gate 8 but it is usually very crowded on game day.
there is a place called the Corral that serves food and drink outside gate 8
costs $3 to get in.
espn is going to have some stuff set up for this game, not sure where though.
and my favorite.....just walk around talking to all the tail-gaters. meet a lot
of nice people that way, see some cool looking outfits, and realize that
your obsession with the Cowboys isn't as bad as you thought it was.
huncher...the closest gate to your seats is gate 9, get there early enough
and you can watch the players get to the stadium. (3 hours ? ) they come
in around that gate. fun to see what they drive..campbell has a pick-up
truck of course.
hope this helps...cant think of anything not to do..parking is tough on everybody
and the traffic is what you would expect ...just have fun..enjoy it all.
and for anyone who likes, in the blue lot, right where section C meets section
B, look for the scene in my sig ( white Kia Sorento..tall flagpole) and stop by and say hello. may or may not have on #31, might have to draw on Cowboys
past and wear # 12 for good luck.
