Who is the youngest ever to win that High award? What position did he play? What year?

Dallas Cowpoke,
I tried that and have gotten to the page where the Heisman Trophy historical records are. This still does not tell me whither they were a Sr, Jr, Soph, or Freshman! Since you were SO very kind to guide me in this so far... can you answer the other question?
:D

As best I can tell, no one younger than a Junior as ever won it.

A couple of sophomores and even a freshman have finished in the top 3.

Thanks Man

No prob. Hey, there's always a first time. This is a pretty lackluster Heisman crowd (although it's still early) and I think if AD continues to run through defenses, he could have a shot. He certainly is getting a lot of favorable hype from the ESPN crowd, and that never hurts... just look at Larry Fitz. They single-handedly pumped him into second place last year.

That is correct. Nobody younger than a junior has ever won it.

Don't include me in that "us".....My sig is the result of a lost bet. :D
It wouldn't bother me seeing AD win it though. He has looked great. Plus, I like to see Texas kids do good.

I still think Orton is the favorite, as long as he has a good game against Wisconsin. That is, however, going to be a tough road to hoe.

I think Orton will lose at least one game. But what do I know?

If he can lead his team to wins over Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio State, then he deserves whatever is coming to him (assuming he wins the gimmies as well).

Aaron Rodgers from Cal is my darkhorse. This kid can really sling the ball around. He looked damn good against USC.
