I keep seeing eveyone glowing about TT. I think this rb situation is gonna turn out like the hutch vs. carter days.. Except TT vs JJ. I don't get it. JJ has played 14 games? I can't understand all the man love for TT. Do people really think he is going to be some monster, and take JJ's spot? I bet JJ plays sunday and has a big game

I don't think anyone expects TT to take JJ's job right now. I think everyone is in love with the fact he has the break away speed we haven't really had here since I guess Dorsett, and Walker. He's exciting to watch I'll give him that but he has to prove he can do it week to week. JJ still hasn't proven that he can carry the load week to week. He had a good second half of the season last year but this year he seems to keep getting dinged up. SF he had his bell rung last week he injures his leg many more and he will get the injury prone label.

JJ is the man here, make no mistake about it. But I admit i'm a bit dissapointment so far in his production....but we are winning so it's not a big thing right now.

I hope Tyson is a great player too, nothing wrong with depth the last time i checked.

I think most people here know JJ is the main RB - he is a legit homerun threat that defenses must scheme against. He has not been as explosive this year as last year for reasons that are still being debated - injury (possible), OL (probable), Parcells' instruction (possible) or too much bulk (unlikely).

What I think most people are hoping is that TT can be a reliable backup who can handle 10-15 carries per game and relieve some of the burden off JJ. Hopefully he can do some of JJ's dirty work. If you couple that with MBIII taking some third down snaps, it should mean a healthier and more productive JJ and Cowboys running game.

JJ is the man, no doubt about it. TT has speed and size, this is a great chance for him to step up and show that he can be counted on. TT hits the hole hard and can take it to the house, just like JJ. Through the course of a long NFL season, we're gonna need two good RB's. TT gets his shot to shine sunday and I'm looking forward to watching him. I see him having a BIG game.. I wouldn't be suprised at all if he did....

I don't think TT has JJ's vision, his patience, or his moves.

But I think he will be a resounding success with his own running style.

Don't forsee a q-hutch scenario at all.

Very possible to love both these players with zero reserve. Both can get a good deal of reps.

compariong the Non position battle between Julius Jones and Tyson Thompson to the Quincy vs. Hutch debate is a real slap in the face of Julius. Neither Quincy or Hutch turned out to be NFL players(literally they are on no NFL teams). Julius has shown us a lot - for christ sake you guys be patient with him. Everyone is so ready to stick him into a position battle with Tyson Thompson.

all I know is TT stepped in for JJ and we didnt miss a beat in the running game.

Its no crime to have two guys that can be productive running the ball. It doesnt have to be one or the other.

I agree its a great advantage to have 2 good backs but its no threat to Julius' starting status with the team lets be realistic here.

i agree.

Seems the only threat to Julius' starting status is his propensity for injury. In which case, we should all be happy we have a guy that can step in and be the man.

Jc I wasnt slapping JJ in the face. Nor did I compare him to quincy or hutch. I compaired the situation that the media made and the fans made. You can see its starting already.

First of all, and I could be wrong, but I dont think JJ is going to play this week! Secondly, I dont think we have a battle for the top spot, I look at it as a damn nice situation for our team. JJ is the top guy, and everyone knows that, but with TT, and Thomas, and Barber, we are sittin pretty as far as RBs go. There's no starter battle, but if JJ shows signs of being tired or starts screwing up for what ever reason, BP wont hesitate to put TT in there, or maybe MB3 if he shows us something this week!
