DTV has been screwing me over royally lately, and I'm wanting to drop them. Before doing that I'm trying to get some answers about how I can replace them. I only have internet on my phone. It's too expensive to get it for the house, and has limits that make using online TV services feasible.

I live quite a ways from the nearest free TV tower. Is there an inside antenna that will pick up transmissions 60 to 70 miles away? I've looked at a few websites that are supposed to make recommendations but get too much conflicting information.

Does anyone use Orby? Is it a good and reliable service?

Have not had TV for over 30 years so my knowledge might be limited but here some options:

1-cheap IPTV ( you get almost anything for as low as $5 or so a month) some of them reliable some not
2-tubi.tv fantastic for movies you should try it and it is free
3- sport events you can almost watch anything for free ( online)

I'm rocking a set of vintage rabbit ears complete with some custom aluminum foil added. The broadcast towers are about 50 miles away as the crow flies. I only had to add the aluminum foil when the trees leafed out in the spring. In the garage I have a standard rooftop antenna hanging from the rafters. Don't need the foil on that one. A lot of folks hang rooftop antennas in their attics to avoid the hassle of the roof install.

I actually have a rooftop unit on the house but the dog chewed up the cable where it enters the house and I just haven't gotten around to fixing it. Besides, there is a certain charm about rabbit ears and tinfoil.
