That Green Bay loss just set us on a strange sequence of decisions ...

- Get humiliated by a 7th-seed team
- Declare next year is "all-in"
- Say you can't sign King Henry due to cap issues
- Paying $5 million guaranteed to Trey Lance
- Wait until the 11th hour to sign Dak and CeeDee long-term, jacking up their value due to other deals
- Fail to fill massive holes on the roster
- Suffer a hilariously frustrating season full of injuries and losing
- Lame duck Mike McCarthy
- Deny an interview request from the Bears
- Don't sign him anyway
- Refuse to clarify
- Make a cameo appearance on Landman

That tweet did miss this one:
- Singing Dak at all

Having a path/plan that fails is one thing, but it’s clear they don’t even have that.

Not for on the field success anyway.

Each move is all over the place and doesn’t at all seem connected to the next.

Because having a plan would require competence and doing the work their job titles require. They're not capable or interested.

Everything they do is lazy.

Who the heck waits for teams and agents to contact them in free agency?

They should feel so lucky, both of them. In the corporate world, even military they would have been removed from their post, fired or even demoted. I can't stand either of them

Delusional, and clearly they think working for them and the Cowboys is some sort of privilege.

This hiring search ought to be proof unless Kellen wants the guaranteed money grab, albeit lower end, now instead of a real chance to win.

From there, nothing against Zimmer, but is that and a draft getting this team over the top Jerry? Please.

It has to bottom out and the good news is I don’t really have to root all that hard for it.

You hit on a really good point here. Their off seasons are not connected to anything. They have a system they think works regardless of what happens during the season. Back when they had 16 game seasons I would say this. We could go 3-13 or 13-3, the off season approach is exactly the same.

Been that way since Jimmy was fired.

Zimmer is prolly the best we can hope for.
