CowboysZone LOYAL Fan
We have Hunter who is a big back that can do some things for us, put him at tailback in the red zone, put MAZI Smith at FB, he loves to HIT people, and push that ball into the end zone!!! Not a bad thought???

Wrong time to try Super Jumbo FB when our C and RG are out.

How about we not get cute about it and just use Hunter more?
Carries 1 for 9
Targets 1/1 for 12

I'm a big believer in feeding players while their numbers look good, regardless of their position on the depth chart.

As for Jumbo packages, Bostic was an all region TE in HS and was a TE his first season in college. Must have decent hands and should be able to handle basic 3 yard routes. And sure can block when compared to blocking TEs and not OTs.

I've thought for years that instead of trying to turn Ricos into blocking TEs, we should try to olinemen. Just need decent hands. A 3 yard stick route should not be a stretch for NFL players.

But with Bostic's experience as a TE, it's a no brainer to at least give it a try in camp.

Sure maybe at the 1 yard line.

The Cowboys' problem is first and goal from the 10.
..yep, totally agree here. Dallas has no problems punching in from the 1 or 2.

Anything further, MM just loses creativity and runs plays that go for no yardage.

Leaving Dak with stress of 3rd n goal with pass. By now, the defense KNOWS its pass.

Well for one thing, I bet most teams struggle to score from 1st and goal and the 10. Red zone TDs are as much about where you get tackled inside the 10 as they are how good you are.

The bigger problem is that instead of taking three shots at scoring, they're wasting downs to try to get better opportunities on later downs. It's a stupid approach that lots of coaches do.

..interesting points there. Whenever I see Dallas in the RZ around the 9 yd line.

Im yelling, just call a play, any play that will get us near the GL. Be it 6-8yds. Then we have two shots to punch it in.

MM wasted so many dumb plays in RZ. That netted zero yds. Now the duress is on Dak.

They try to get ahead of the chains running the ball, which is stupid, because it doesn't work.

Like much of this fan base, the Dallas offensive staff right now is afraid to just spread it out at the goalline and give anybody any space to operate. Quibbling on playcalls (though I do it lol) is pretty pointless, because its the fundamental approach that is far more problematic.

He is labeled a FB.....he is a poor mans D. Henry RB...with pass catching skills.

Red zone....MM needs to scheme and with movement, packages and sets....create mismatches

..Mac, you have good football IQ. Seems like they clam up near GL. I dont know?

Wherever the problems might linger. Hope they fix most of them. Next 4 games are brutal.

Will find out what type of team we have.

!st way to solve the redzone problem: lets not have 3 starting lineman walking the sideline with "Leg injuries"
2nd use your weapons all of them including Dak's legs..lets start there.
