Yes, this is the small school standout at the senior bowl, in which dominated against all the competition. Whenever you see a small schooled player dominate top level competition, people take notice. Many would point to level of competition, but that negative no longer applies. I been seeing him as a late 3, early 4th round prospect. At that point in the draft, he certainly is worth the risk.

I would burn a 4th round pick on him since we have a another 4th round compensatory pick.

Not bad, but if the Cowboys are going to stick with the zone run scheme I'm not sure he's really a fit.

He said it himself that he wants to be in a power blocking scheme.

I love players who impress at SR
He didn’t control the competition he played against but when given a chance to impress, he did
My hope is there are as good a quality at defense in the 4th and if so I go defense
3-4 are good rounds for LB picks and LB’s have a history of success in those rounds
But if there isn’t a quality defensive player there I’d sure consider him
We aren’t gonna be offering a second contract to Williams so he could be nice depth and maybe the next starter there
The draft isn’t just about fixing holes but having the depth so you don’t have to give second contracts to good players. Second contracts are expensive and they should be mostly used for elite players like Martin

I was impressed by this guy and David Moore as small school mid-round options for the interior OL.

Strong interior draft may keep his stock in that 3rd/4th round range. At that draft position postion, and with what we currently have on the OL, we would be able to mold him without throwing him in the fire. Williams is a FA after 2021

Last couple of days has me thinking about upgrading the OL and trying to make it a strength once again. Teams are going to start taking away the pass and dare us to run. Still believe Zeke could make teams think twice if our line is solidified. Yes, we need a future Tackle, but adding a quality interior player could really help our offense stay balanced. Doesn't have to be a 1st rd player, but a quality option, which I think Meinerz is. Someone mentioned he is a better fit in a power scheme, which could be right.

I would add Rhamondre Stevenson in the 5th round if he lasts that long. He is a RB that is a battering bruiser with a little bit of speed for a big guy.

He would double as a FB role player. 2 for 1.

We haven't had a good FB in years, adding a tweener might be the next best thing as many teams even on the college level don't use the FB anymore. Team has to start running the football better inside the redzone.

I wouldn't call it a burn, I would call it reasonable risk. FWIW I think he goes somewhere in the 3rd round comp area. I know the Rams like him and have a need.
