Hooker is not good. He’s slow to get in position. No idea why extended him. He’s not fast or even physical. Need one of those traits.

Well bland got beat a couple times early then locked down his side. Brown torched Gilmore all game. So what were you watching?

Fans don’t understand how a late week injury to Diggs plus the return of Wilson/Lewis screws up the defense. The offensive line had the same issue.

Listening to the numerous shows today, I believe Broaddus, Jesse Holley, Nate Newton, Bobby Belt, etc…all said after looking at the play, EVERYONE was in man EXCEPT for Jourdan Lewis. So, sounds like Lewis let his guy run free expecting help

The big play happens because of the injury to Diggs. Lewis would not have been in the game. Late week injuries cost you no matter what.

The defensive backend actually played surprisingly well. They weren’t great by any stretch, but they’re replacing one of the best corners in the league. The DL was the primary issue and the invisible line backing play.

I think if I were to be generous I would say Bland lived up to his name and that is about the nicest thing I can say about his play. On the other hand I get it as it is not a good idea for a coach to pour gasoline on the player who already knows he had an awful game.

This. Played better as the game progressed but definitely was a problem early.

Bland definitely had a rough start, but as others have said, he seemed to have settled in. Mostly a small sample size so far since they ran over us at will.
