I'm not sure if this has been posted or not but Teena Marie has passed.

According to Roland Martin, R&B singer Teena Marie has passed away at the age of 54.

I remember dancing to some of her music, back when I could still dance and had a decent chance of actually getting somebody to dance with me.

That's a real shame. 54 is too young.

R.I.P to the "Ivory Queen of Soul"! I've been listening to her all morning on my iPod. I remember how shocked I was to see a white woman belting out tunes with such a soulful, powerful voice back when I was first introduced to her music!

I read today she passed from a grand mal seizure. She had stopped taking her seizure meds, because of the side effects.

Just way too young.

My favorite songs by her were Lovergirl and Out on a Limb. I'm dusting off her CDs now.
