I would love this pick. But, Dallas doesn't select DTs in the 1st round. Could this be their T. Frederick or Z. Martin buck the trend pick? Hope so.

The one big problem with Kancey is lack of length which something Quinn has been big on when drafting Cowboys defensive players including DL. Maybe the speed and quickness could make him overlook it but I doubt he's who they are eyeing there.

All the DTs they acquired since Quinn has been in Dallas (draft, trade or free agent) have 34" or longer arms and 10" or larger hands with the exception of Hankins at 33" / 9-1/2".

Gallimore (pre Quinn pick) is the primary outlier on the roster with 32" arms.
