Not sure where to put this but it is college related. Will Howard tonight mentioned Downingtown, PA where he went to high school.

I work in a district that plays against them, and I felt like attending the playoff game. When he said he went to Downingtown, I was like wait, when we lost to them in the playoffs, their QB was hella good. He was physically and especially mentally just way above anyone on the field.

Then it hit me. I witnessed Will Howard live in high school. What are the odds you see a national champion QB in high school in a lifetime, and definitely not know it in the moment? As impressive as he is and was, I never thought oh yeah he’ll be a national champ in a few years for Ohio State. I feel cool not going to lie haha

On a similar note, Jeff Hafley, the Packers DC, played little league baseball with my son. When I heard he was coaching football in college I was shocked sine I had not idea he had any experience in organized football. Clearly he does or he wouldn't be where he is but I knew him as a little league baseball player. I understand Hafley is interviewing for the Jets HC job now. What a dream come true for him since the Jets play homes games about 15-20 miles from where Hafley grew up.

It sucks playing against those guys.

Most on the field are thinking "Am I really gonna have to snap my collar bone trying to tackle this guy"

Im full Trevon Diggs in those situations.

"Coach, you want me to break my arm in four corners drill to separate the men from the boys" Nah...lets see you get your arm snapped at the local MMA gym before you tell me to do it.

Lead my team in tackles on offense as a WR ha...with like 4 tackles after turnovers. When it mattered I chased down and made the tackle.

But yeah...rec basketball sucks when every one is having fun and the games are stimulating...but then the 6'6 kid from across town walks wanting to play with sub-6ft guys. Or when these kids form super teams at the rec...the super team goes up by 7-0 and everyone else gives up and the following points are fast break points with kids hootin and hollarin like its fun to create games like that.

I guess Im old and boring now. Playing High School sports and watching used to be so fun to me smh. Your post reminds me how I used to be. I get the villain making people better argument...but im just old and boring now. Sorry to hijack your thread.
