Man... you really hate to see lifelong Rangers getting the boot to keep another player... but this is a business...

Young is a great guy, but he does get 13 million per year. Let 13 million soak in... it's ridiculous...

Hope it doesn't happen but I can understand if it does...

It does sound like it's still a long shot.

If they could re-sign Lee and get Greinke I guess I'd get over it.:( Really, really REALLY hate to lose Young though, he's a real unselfish, do whatever the team needs kind of guy, but we ain't the Bankees.

They got any top prospects to replace Young if this happens?

Would not really be clearing room, so this doesn't make sense. Beltre would likely be signed, along w/ Cliff Lee. Beltre is looking for around 16 million a year, close to what Young is earning.

If they trade Young, just for money to sign Lee, then who is going to play 3B. Seems like you would be taking a step back. Your closest player in the minors is Olt who is still a year or two (closer to two) away from being ready.

Mike Olt, whom they drafted this past draft. Has big time power and above average in the field. He's just 21 so he's a couple years away. Other than that, they are pretty weak at the corner spots.

I hope they can find someway to keep Young and still sign Lee. I'd hate to see this go down, Young's one of my favorites.

OMG. I can't believe Fox stooped to that level to generate page views. No, the Rangers aren't thinking about trading Young to sign Cliff. They can sign Cliff without trading Young.

Nolan flat out said the Rangers aren't even shopping Young, and that the Rockies approached them at them Winter meetings about him so he could play second base for them.

Nolan responded with, "We're not shopping Young, but we have been asked about him," Rangers president Nolan Ryan said. "As in all requests, we look to see what the interest level is. If someone called about [Neftali] Feliz, we would do the same thing."

Ken Rosenthal is a embellishing idiot.

33 years old, fewest WAR since 2005, making 13 mil...

I mean, I know Young is a career Ranger and fan favorite, but depending on what the Rockies wanted to give you out of their pretty good system I might listen.

Rangers only have 1 surefire pitching prospect that could be considered close to ready, and the Rox have pitching depth.

Something to consider, I'd think.

I'd sure hate to lose Young. But I can understand why they'd make the move in order to secure Lee.
