Hope this doesn't mean they aren't going to resign Mike Adams. They said they aren't done with relief help though.

Rangers, Soria closing in on two-year deal

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Rangers are close on a two-year deal with free agent right-hander Joakim Soria, according to sources at the Winter Meetings. Soria, who lives in Scottsdale, Ariz., is flying to Arlington to have a physical on Tuesday, and there are still some details to work out in the contract.

Soria will serve as a setup man in front of closer Joe Nathan; the two relievers are good friends. Soria missed all of last season because of Tommy John surgery, and it's not clear if he'll be ready for Opening Day.

Pretty sure Mike Adams is gone. Probably Koji, too.

I'm not so sure. Adams had some type of surgery. I read they are actively trying to resign Koji right now. That doesn't mean they will resign him, but they are trying too.

This helps a lot. I'm so glad we weren't dumb enough to pay that much for Napoli.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping with can come up with Grienke and Upton.

Along with this move, that would be pretty exciting.

According to the rumors on twitter ... thats who we are going full bore at. Sign Greinke and trade for Upton. Let Josh fleece soomeone else.

this seems like a high risk/high reward move. Soria has 2 tommy john surgeries and may not be available for the opener.

Mike's velo and peripherals are trending down and he wants multiple years. I do think they'd like to have Koji back, but Koji seems to want to go back to Baltimore. Both will probably cost more than the Rangers want to give them.

I don't think it's an especially high-risk move so much as it is one that might pay off more in year 2 than this season.
