Rank the Top 40

Thought it might be a good idea to consolidate in one post how each of you feel about the top three positions of need(or perceived need)...cornerback, runningback, and wide receiver.

I've listed what are "generally" considered the top prospects of each position by many sites. Rank these 40 prospects in the order that you would take them OVERALL if these were your only choices, regardless of who has been selected ahead of them by us or another team and assuming no other free agent acqusitions are made. I'm not asking you to qualify at what pick or at what round you feel their value is, just rank these players from best to worst.

I felt you kind of darned if you do and darned if you don't. If I said rank the top ten, that lets the headline people off the hook. I figured if I work 65 hours a week plus another 14 hours in class, taking 10 or 15 minutes of my time wasn't asking too much for putting together a ranking. But I understand where some wouldn't want to put for the effort...that's ok.

Here's my list for the record(and yes, apparently I'm not in my right mind, but if most of us can lust after Pacman after what he has done, why not Bowman?) I think there becomes a chance where talent with risk outweighs choir boy with less talent.

And sooner or later you will get burned. Bowman still has a couple chances left. Most likely he will do it again. Pacman, Tank, and TO are all on their last chance.

When Goose comes out with his final 100 list just edit out every position but RB, WR and CB. There is the best ranking of those 3 positions combined into one ranking. There may not be 40 players on that list, but it going to be a hell of a list.

How did you feel about the rank I gave them though?

I too llke Charles more than most...Mendenhall will be a consistant runner, but not flashy.

I just have this feeling that Hardy is being "elevated" because of his height, not necessarily his all around skills. I used to be higher on Manningham, but have kind of cooled on him. Overall, I'm just not super psyched about this receiving class I suppose(compared to prior years).

Good CB class overall, each has his pros and cons, so I can't argue against your ranking.
