No wonder he's getting stiffed by the Ravens. Only an idiot would let his mom/daddy negotiate his first big contract. He's not gonna get a call back from the Ravens front office, they are willing to franchise him twice.
Hmmmmmm. OK, I'll give you that one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He rushed for 539 yds in his super bowl year.Russell Wilson between 2013 and 2014 averaged over 100 carries a season while completing fewer passes per attempt than Lamar Jackson’s career average completion %, while throwing for fewer than 3500 yards both seasons despite starting every game. He would have won back to back SBs if not for the bad Oline call at the end of the second one. He became a better downfield passer later in his career, but definitely was not at that level yet in year 2
Borderline. I should've said a running QB who is not a good passer, my mistake. Wilson is/was a good passer. Jackson is a terrible passer. How do you define the difference? What is the line?
Russell Wilson ran 94 times in 2013, 118 times in 2014. That’s an incredible amount. That’s designed runs, that’s constant sneaks, that’s him abandoning passing plays and taking off repeatedly. With how little they asked him to pass the ball and his lower completion %, he was running the football every 2.5 completions, running a huge ratio of the time.
In context, RGIII’s rookie year was 120 attempts. Michael Vick’s career high is 123. If they’re not running QBs then who is?
Russell developed and threw a lot more later in his career, but not when he was young
Someone that doesn’t predicate their success off of running. How do you define the difference? What is the line?
