as cowboys fans have seen when players hold out and dont come into camp, that they generally dont have a good year, get injured etc.. Now with the vikings possibly losing kevin & pat wililams for 4 weeks or possibly more on suspensions and now with ray edwards their DE that had a big day against us, do you think this will help us with edwards holding out or hurt us?

Don't call Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards a holdout.

He's one of the many unsigned restricted free agents out there, unhappy because the collective bargaining agreement kept him from hitting the open market.

Just don't expect Edwards to be on the field for the Vikings anytime soon. He's expected to continue to skip voluntary work, and Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports Edwards won't be at the team's mandatory minicamp from June 11-13. (Although it's not really mandatory for him.)

The timing works out well for Edwards. He needs to sign his tender by June 15 or the Vikings can reduce his offer to 110 percent of his 2009 salary. Look for him to sign around June 14.

Since he's unsigned, the Vikings also can't fine him for skipping out. The Vikings haven't offered Edwards a long-term deal.

Nope not at all, the only reason ray Edwards played so good, was because Colombo played so bad.

I could care less about whether or not he plays, I just want us to win, win big, shove it in their face, stomp on there freaking pride, and ensure that the Vikings don't win again after the dignity depriving defeat they receive at the hands of the cowboys

Unfortunately, Wade and Garrett are too nice to make that happen: \

well i was thinking if he doesnt push himself ray edwards to be in tip top shape, then columbo could maul him in the vikings cowboys game this year

this time could be ray edwards nicked up and columbo running over him;

it should be that way anyways. The way he manhandled columbo in the last game, if he doesn't come out and put him in the ground then i would bench him myself.

this guy gets to play opposite one of the top 2-3 pass rushers in the game and he is acting like a clown by holding out and not signing his tender. what an idiot.

just sign the tender, bust your butt, have a great year and then try to bank elsewhere.

I expect that team to crash and burn anyway. Favre is due to get hurt this year if he even plays. At some point he's going to hit the wall.

Good for Colombo at least.

A healthy Colombo will have to say to him a thing or two. He plays with an attitude and will definitely get back at Edwards.

Edwards is good but Colombo made him look like a HOFer out there.

If Colombo isn't better, Barron or Brewster will take his spot.

Colombo was still hurt.

It's a shame we didn't have anyone else better.

We always learn the hard way.

Edwards had the benefit of playing on a line with 3 outstanding guys... someone was going to get a favorable matchup and get off with that crowd noise...
