Zach Line from SMU. He looks to me like a clone of Peyton Hillis. Strong and big, but with the ability to make a couple of moves to get through the line. Good blocker, too. He gets his pads low coming through the line, and rarely gets stood up. He also does a good job of extending a play without getting killed for the effort (see Barber, Marion). Zach Line is 6-1, 235... about 15 lbs less than Hillis. However, as a Sophomore this year, I expect Line to fill out a little more before he leaves the college ranks. Great attitude, too.
So far this season, Line has 138 carries for 918 yards (that's a 6.7 YPC average) and 7 TD's. He is also occasionally used in the passing game. Great pass blocker, too, as he is generally a single back in a spread formation. You may argue that the level of competition he faces is suspect, but he turned in a 17 carry 139 yd (8.2 avg) 1TD game against top 5 ranked TCU this year.
Not the fastest guy on the field, but seems to be one of the hardest workers. Who knows how he will develop, but I like what I have seen.
