classiest post i've seen yet on this board. Thanks for filling people in on the difference between a football game and a city that went through such a tragedy.

In regards to the other posts, call me a homer, troll, katrician, cajun, whatever, but the FACT is: if the saints were at a 100%, this game would be much more competitive. With all the current injuries though, the cards are definitely in the 'boys favor.

Injuries or not there is not a single place on your defense that you can honestly say stacks up with our offense. I will maybe say your offense is a little better than our defense, but our defense played lights out against the colts and frankly I see that as the best offense in the league. The cards before the injuries were still in our favor. The injuries only stacked the deck a bit. I am all for backing your team and your city but facts is facts and anyway you slice it the saints don't stack up to the dallas cowboys. That being said anything can happen on any given sunday and I expect your boys to come ready to play. It still won't help though.

I don't have any doubt that the game COULD BE closer on paper if NO didn't have so many injuries. Heck, it might still be a close game. Turnovers are the great equalizer, and you can't predict them..... Unless of course you are a Panther fan and Jake has the ball with 2 minutes to go. Pick zilla! Sorry, had to get that shot at the hometown team! I would imagine that the Giants would feel the same way, as would the Eagles, Steelers........as would most any team with significant injuries. All you can do is go play, and realize that the people backing up those players are also NFL players getting paid to play a position.

stats don't tell the whole story and people that think they do don't really know as much about football as they think.

Hooray.

Get back to us once the NFL starts handing out victories for outgaining the other team and racking up 500 passing yards while losing.

Honestly, we shouldn't get over confident. Because anything can happen on any given sunday. But I believe the Cowboys will win, but its anybody's guess in today's NFL.

And I'll add a quick correction of my own. Saints...in the NFC, haven't beaten a team over .500 yet.

The team isn't.

We can get as confident as we want. ;)

Saints seem to forget they're playing on the road and won't have the home advantage of Bourbon street distracting visiting teams...plus we'll all know North Louisiana is Cowboy country :D

***HEADS UP***

Guys I am asking nicely to knock off the talk about fema trailers, talking about some stuff that should not be on a family board, and let's show a tad bit of class and not make fun of some of the situations people were put into due to Hurricane Katrina.

Man up and show some class.

You want to talk about why we will or will not beat the saints, you want to talk about match-ups with the saints, you want to talk about this player or that player, this coach or that coach, this owner or that owner, team records and history than that is good to go.

But show some class and knock off the low rent Hurricane Katrina and Fema jokes because they are just not funny and make you look bad.

Thanks:cool:

Well said. My in laws live down there, and it is hard to describe what they went through, and are still going through. Having said that....I hope they are all in a bad mood because of the game about midnight Sunday!

We are 4-2 on the road. We're comfortable with the role =). IMO the game will be better than many people are giving it credit.

Maybe I keep missing something but Ive read it 3 times but Im still not weeping. Its funny how excited Philly fans get after one meaningless win. I dont think any team in the NFC would be to heartbroken if the Eagles found a way to sneak into the playoffs in the 8th spot. As far as winning the division goes, its too ubsurd to even comment on.

I got an idea! If the Saints do move somewhere, why not Utah! Hey, we got the Jazz from them!

Well, maybe that might not be a good idea afterall...I mean, if Utah had a professional football team, then Denver would want one too...

Carry on...

And don't look for the NBA's Hornets to be associated with New Orleans much longer either. They couldn't even find a major sponsor for their little arena BEFORE Katrina, ranked last in NBA attendance for 2004-2005, and the current owner still hasn't finalized a deal to bring in some local investors to guarantee keeping the team in town.

Classless comment that has nothing to do with Football.
