I've been saying this for months. For the life of me why do we stop using this. It is impossible to stop. Especially when the defense is coming downhill all game like they were today.

We did it early, that play for our first touchdown. With pollard/zeke both going in different directions. Then Kellen Moore goes away from it the entire game.

It helps dak get into rhythm as well. I just don't get it. He's not just a strict pocket passer stop using him as one.

Don't you know Killing Moore loves everything over the middle. 20 passes a game in the middle of the field...at least that's what it seems like.

Air Coryell Jr will doom this team before it's over.......then get offers. The gameplan had passing all over it, from the 1st series.

No TPollard involved in the 2 minute drive like he should have been. That's why the cameras panned on him. Air Coryell Jr is baffling.......and I don't know why some are enamored over him.

Moore featured Zeke today and it cost us.

Not months. Years.

It's not just Zeke. Dak, Lamb, and even Hendershot can run the ball too. And run blocking is what the oline does best. And the TEs can run block. And Brown. And even Zeke looked good lead blocking for Pollar on a play.

Multiple run threats lets the run game threaten the full width of the field.

All the quick misdirection stuff is what made Moore an opportunity at OC. But he uses it so rarely.

We're just so weird.

Because this team is ran by a bunch of clowns that don’t know what they’re doing. It’s always some kind of foolish ness every week. The game plan and game execution today was probably some of the worst I’ve seen all year next to that horrendous Bucs game in Week 1.

To help get a better picture example of 'misdirection' plays.

There was a play vs Texans where Pollard is lined up wide as a WR, but at snap of the ball, he runs across the QB, to take a handoff that similarizes a jet sweep run
- this misdirection run springs Pollard for a big run splash play around the outside edge.

- But enjoy it while we can because we will never see it again - per Kellen Moore.
The jet sweeps,.. the wheel routes with Pollard, ..Kellen throws them into the disposal unit.

When he finally does come up with a misdirection (remember Pollard as a wild cat vs Chiefs in '21?) ,,then he abandons the thought and we never see it again.

- Misdirection is not really a part of his game and design. He does not emphasize misdirections whether run game or RBs in pass game.
. He's never felt comfortable with pulling OL out in front for RB screens.
Since we very rarely use OL pulling screens, ..we've become awful at it. Thus OL screens are banned by Kellen.

- There's no deception to persuade or mislead defenders out of position - thus it makes it easier for the defense.

- I guess i have to be at least grateful that Kellen is finally we even using our RBs in swing and dump off passes - such as the one that Pollard caught eluded a tackler,
and "skipped hopped " a tight rope into the end zone.

- But if we had a truly innovative creator as a OC, we would not have such a simplistic, bland run game scheme- nor would our RBs continue to
be so limited in the pass game. That wheel route for a TD vs a coverage LB should be the kind of misdirection and isolation designs we should
" always" be constantly frequenting Pollard's skill set and explosion on a weekly basis.

- But the Jones, and McCarthy seemed to have made an agreed pact to let it all be Kellen's doing.. with no help or interference.

Bc Kellen doesn’t know what he’s doing when the run game struggles.

RPO would be a great wrinkle to our O. Dak isn’t Hurtz but he could bust off a few 5/6/7 yard runs to keep us ahead of schedule.

Go back to the threads after week 1 loss to the Bucs. Many complaints about Kellen Moore using too many misdirection plays...

i recall complaints that we were passing too much, trying to get Dak in synch, when our run game were actually having some success vs a usually tough Bucs run defense .....

Yeah he is noticeably slower and has changed his running style probably because of his ankle I'm sure

Yeh he labors and lumbers in his running now. ..i think Dak just cannot run physically like he used.

and like you said. If anything has " changed' , he's not trying to take on, wrestle and stiff arming would tacklers, like what caused his severe ankle injury in the first place.
Scramble and run when there's clear, green grass opening,.. run out of bounds or slide to the ground to preserve yourself. .
