Bob Hayes 10.06
Trindon Holliday 10.00
Curtis Dickey 10.10
Tyreek Hill 10.19
Jamaal Charles 10.18
Michael Bennett 10.18
Herschel Walker 10.23
Rayeem Mostert 10.26

Are those who broke the 10.30 barrier.

Bo Jackson toyed with track, he was without question faster than his 10.39PR.
Adrian Peterson a 10.2 in HS but I have never seen that on any list, so...???

In the old 100 yards days...

Bob Hayes 9.1
Travis Williams 9.3
O.J.Simpson 9.4
Trenton Jackson 9.4....64 Olympian

I'd have to dig to find confirmation but I think Eric Dickerson ran 9.4 in the 100 yard dash in high school as well.. Track and Field News recently put their historical data behind the pay wall so that sort of information is not nearly as easy to find as it once was.

I almost listed that 9.4 but like Adrian Petersons 10.2 I have never seen it listed anywhere.

There are others...

Warren Wells who caught those long bombs fron Darly "Mad Bomber" Lamonica was said to be a 9.4 man at Texas Southern, well I keep up with that stuff, never saw anything about a 9.4 for Wells.

Harold Jackson a speedy WR for the Eagles a 9.4 man at Jackson State, but.......where?

I can see Dickerson some pounds lighter in HS having 9.4 jets, not a shock.

I had a subscription for many years from about 1977 (my senior year) on but lost it somewhere along the way. I picked up the electronic subscription for a while but canceled it once I realized I wasn't reading it as often after all the juicing scandals.. Basically it just started to bum me out that I really could not enjoy any great performance without waiting for the other (drugs) shoe to drop..

Walking home from track practice with a buddy, stopped in to grab a coke. Laying on the kitchen table Track & Field News, this was my soph year 1966. It belonged to his dad our track coach.

I had to have it, but would need to cut out that order form, ouch! Eric talked his dad into it and ....bingo! Got an issue a month for decades.
