...I found this sequence of photos on ExtremeSkins' board and thought they provided a great view of how Roy saved this game.

Looking at it live on TV, I just thought it was a bad throw by Brunell and I really didn't realize how close Cooley came to making that catch. Glenn was falling down and was not in postion to make a play on the ball and as the photos show, Roy literally stole it off Cooley's shoulder pad at the last split second.

As one who has been tough on Roy the past couple of years for his pass defense, I thought he deserved major props for making that play.

Wow, I had no idea it was that close. The old cliche is that football is a game of inches. This photo proves it.

Let that soak in NFL. Roy can cover - He always could.. But every SS gets beaten here and there. Even the best Corners and Safeties get beat every once and a while.

But how many of those times do we not see it when a QB can't find their TE because he's blanketed by RW.... All I have to say is, keep underrating RW league, just keep it up.

yea i was mad when i saw glenn about to be a victim agian..lol..great play by roy tho.....

That's a great sequence of photos. Roy comes out of nowhere in the second to last pic there to squash the hearts of all dreadskin punks.

Gotta love it.

What's funny is that came from Extreme Skins claiming that it was evidence that Glenn PI'd Cooley. Despite the fact that you can't even tell whether or not Glenn is even touching Cooley, Glenn is looking for the ball, and Cooley still got position after Glenn's supposed interference.

Well just from my memory watching the replays last night, it wasn't that close. Roy caught the ball away from Cooley's shoulder pad and at the point that last picture shows, he's coming down and bringing it into his body.

People need to learn the rules.

The DB CAN put his hands on the receiver if he sees the ball and is trying to make a play for the ball.

He can't push off to make the interception. But if he's trying to position himself to make an interception, touching the receiver is allowed.

And some people claim Roy only goes for the big hit instead. He could have destroyed Cooley on that play. Absolutely put him up into the bleachers if he wanted to.

The defender also can't grab or impede the progress of the receiver. Glenn did neither on that play.

Even still, if you're looking at the ball the refs have a hard time throwing a flag. Ty Law has gotten away with that move for years.

Good point, maybe two years ago he wouldn't have made the pick.

Yeah... with our many dropped passes... we needed ROY to save them game....

Thanks Roy
