RECAP: Wade Phillips on 105.3thefan

talking about penalties on qbs now, nothing so far,

Wade talking rest of the way on comments from writers on thefan;
were starting on next game, so im doing all right; were going forward
yeah, i think were getting stronger nad stronger in defense
we seem to have like 5 new starters on defense and takes awhile to jell

final score is what is important, you try to hold them to at least as you can on defense;

romos 3rd down attempts way down;
yeah, you can throw stats around, were higher percentage than what that shows, everybody wants to use stats and throw them around

barber; he wasnt hurt to where he couldnt be in the game with a serious injury and why i didnt know, he told the rb coach his quad tightened up and they dont tell me when those things happen, he ws still in the ball game, he wasnt out of the game, mainly in 3rd downs proctecting the qb on pass blocks

bailey, we ran the plays that we thought would score for us, we felt like we could wni and we didnt; we plan these things, maybe our plan or execution wasnt good enough

we had some other plays where we didnt execute
we do allow romo to get outside and make pllays, he will continue to do that, we got to get our execution with our wr, offensive lnie and qb together

williams; he has 3 ribs banged up, so sensabaugh had 1 rib and he played but roy has 3 injured so i dont know if roy can play sunday or not;

newman did make some plays, they had one completiton on him the whole game;
well you have to be consistent, we will get better as we go;
were starting to see some good things with these players
you just said it, kansas city is desperate, they will give us their best

incident in the stall; video; wade didnt see it or hear about video of giants spitting in locker rooom etc

im with jerry, a win is a win; talked about some people getting worried around here, so we need to win; wade sounded kinda mixed emotions on that comment,

Unless he is annoucing he is stepping down I dont really care what he has to say about anything at this point.

a fan called in and talked about wade sounding soft in his talking with 105.3 and doesnt sound like wade isnt enough of a displinarian like say singletary

I hope hes serious about getting the QB and his WR's on the same page.

Something is not right and it has more to do with execution than talent.

Blitz pickup and recognizing blitzes needs to be worked on during the bye week as well.

exactly;
what im afraid of with wade is this; he seems lackluster when he was asked about the question of facing the chiefs; wade kinda hemhawed and said, they will give us their best and its like ohhhh, some people seem to be worried about this upcoming game. And wade sounded like he was more worried about what people thought about losing, then what he thought about the cowboys winning on their talent etc

i will try to put up the podcast as soon comes available
listen to it, get your own opinion;

The tackling is weak again this year. Hope that someday it ends up a priority to work on in practice even though guys might *gasp* get hurt.

Agree but its getting better.

Our corners looked significantly better tackling in the Broncos game than they had been looking.

Im not saying significantly better means they are good tacklers now either because they obviously aren't and havent shown in consistently.

Whats disapointing is our defense is finally turning it on and now our Offense is hurting us. UGGGHHHHH this team....

Im ready for the bye week. I need a break from Cowboy football and I want to just start over with Atlanta.

I haven't cared to listen to this fool since after the first few times of listening to him talk

the man talks without saying a damn thing

With Parcells, I would be itching for his press conference recaps to be posted on here if I wasn't running to the radio to hear them live

like the guy above said, unless he's stepping down, I don't give a damn what he says.

well in wades press conf monday, wade got testy when a reporter asked him about tackling from secondary;

what incident in the stall were you referencing in the first post?

that couple having sex?

Quoted for truthiness.

Parcells rocked the press conferences, he'd always drop little football knowledge gems and was brutally honest.

Wade is all damage control.

I can't believe someone actually asked him about that. :banghead:

Talk about a clueless media.

Really??!!? Did you and Bozo the offensive coordinator really think Sam Hurd on Champ Bailey was a play that would score a TD? Let me guess, you thought the second time he would be fooled. The both of you need to get fired off this comment alone. Can we please get compentent Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator!

As long as there is Camp Cupcake the tackling will be lax and severely limited early on.

Teams are forged in practice and games are won there.
