Anyone gone through that process? Looks pretty simple to me. I'm doing that and paying off a debt, so I can have a better chance of getting a better job.

Are you getting the debt expunged from your record, or did you have a criminal charge that you need expunged? Never done either one, but I would be interested to hear how you eventually go about doing it.

You should be safe. I'm pretty sure 7/11 doesn't do background checks.

Depends on the state you're in and the disposition of your case. If there was any sort of plea involved and you were over 18, it's tough to do in Texas unless you get a DA who doesn't oppose it.

What was the charge/conviction?

Beat the hell out of an annoying Canadian guy crossing the border to return a shirt to a local TJ Max.

In Maryland if you're found not guilty, or received probation before judgment (excluding driving while under the influence) a pardon or your case was indefinitely suspended, you just have to fill out a form and pay 30 bucks for each citation/arrest/disposition that you want expunged, and it should take no longer than 90 days for it to go through. Unless it is opposed or appealed, which I doubt in my case they will be as they were both simple misdemeanors.
