This is not a reaction from last nights game but the season overall.
It seems like Dallas is scratching and clawing to not just score but to just find one good play EVERY trip down there. The issue is the offense has no staple play/concept they can lean on. No power running game. No bread and butter pass play. They don’t attempt to feature CD down there. Maybe Ferguson in the future can be that guy. But right now Dallas has nothing they hang their hats on. Compare that to the teams Dallas is chasing. SF has CMAC and their creative power run game. Almost automatic. Philly can basically just hand it off 3 times, knowing it’s a layup if they get near the 1 yard line. Thats a major disadvantage when/if you’re facing the better teams in th league.
You could have just shortened that up by saying our offensive line just isn't that good it isn't the running back it's the line they are not physical enough how many times do we need to go back and remind folks of the 2018 Rams game in the playoffs bowl 49ers games both in the playoffs and now the regular season game three in a row where we do not have a strong physical offensive line or a run game/...
So yes there's a problem and it's along the line you win and lose in the trenches in this game you can easily get away with that against this year's Rams game we won and the back-to-back with the chargers where Prescott has to just take over with his legs and it's 1 dimensional
that's exactly what they tried to do last night and they still have not got it resolved you are not gonna beat a good team especially on the road being one-dimensional this is all on the offensive line this is not play calling by the way I mean maybe some slight execution issues but I'm looking at plays all over the field that were not made because the offensive line could not hold up could not establish a run game they were not physical enough
so yeah I don't care who's playing along the offensive line who the offensive line coach is who the running back coach is or who the head coach is and who even are the players lining up this has been a problem since 2018... You go back and look at all the teams with the best front sevens in football the ones that are notably strong up the middle and we cannot run the ball and normally we're getting stood straight up and Prescott under immense pressure then all the blame goes to the quarterback the play caller in the head coach
something needs to be fixed along the offensive line it wasn't just Terrence Steele I mean we saw the beginning of the Rams game it was everybody letting everybody go too early missing blocking assignments and whatnot they're just not physical enough....
I don't remember every play along the goal line but we definitely are gonna need to line up of two full backs go to some kind of wishbone or our own version of the tush push and have Tony Pollard be no part of it have some big dude like a defensive lineman be the lead fullback with another fullback in hunter right behind him and Rico dowdle right behind him I don't know what else we can do but that line cannot open holes when needed they just can't they have it and it's been a long time since they did...
And I've been saying this since 2018 and nobody wants to listen they blame Prescott for a lot of playoff losses and really it's been a lack of run game it's been a lack of a physical offensive line even when they're not being beat they're being stood up and sometimes that movement where they're not getting any push it enables the defensive line to stick his hand up and tip the ball like the interception in the last game also blamed on Prescott at first go look at the damn game this is all on the offensive line period end of story
