Ever skins' fan in the country cried the day the cowboys got those 2 calls to help them to a win.

This time is the last straw........The refs not only called ( illegal forward motion before the snap ) against the wrong player , it called back the game winning touchdown by clinton portis. The WR james Thrash turned forward but did not take a "FORWARD STEP" as the rule applies.

If you haven't seen the clip you should.......it's sick......

BTW: the refs blew another call on the next play when the packers intercepted the ball. check out this picture.....

I'm a staunch Bush supporter...I have too many friends who are small business owners who are going to cry if Kerry wins....however:

I told someone at the sports bar that I'd rather put up with a democrat in the oval office than have to deal with pompous Commanders fans at work. :)

Just saw the play in question on primetime. The call was right. They just called it on the wrong guy. Thrash went into motion, and then instead of going parellel w/ the line, and going up field with the snap, he stopped, and shuffled his feet forward, before the snap. Very minor flag, but it was the right call. IMO.

The bad thing here is, there are more than just a few of us who have been banned from ES, so we cannot view the links that you posted...

Ya know what......After getting a clip of it you are right......the flag was called as "illegal forward motion before the snap." BUT really it was just thrash NOT being set for 1 second before the snap. He didn't move forward he just shuffled. It's still a 99/100 no call.......but I figure one of these days we'll start getting brakes like this...... :p ......When Tom retires....

Ticky-tack call or not, I don't think the officials threw the interception on the next play. There were two and a half minutes left, plenty of time to finish the job.

Touchdowns get called back on these kinds of calls all the time. You can argue that perhaps at that stage of the game, it was too picky a call, but don't they have to throw the flag at the snap (which they did) to guarantee that an illegal formation doesn't help score the touchdown? They don't know which way the play is going to go, so I'm sure they're told to throw the flag.

Hey, with a little better QB play (and perhaps even some better clock/TO management once again), this wouldn't have even mattered.

Living here in DC (with my Skins fan hubby), I end up watching all these games. Brunell looks bad. Gibbs looks confused. Hard to believe this team will once again not live up to their preseason hype. Not that I'm complaining...

I think it is a stretch to call it a game winning touchdown considering Greenbay tacked on another touch down of their own after the fact. The only thing that could truly be said is that the TD would have made the score look better.

If the ref wouldn't have throw that flag the INT on the next play wouldn't have happened.

As for the INT......if the refs would keep their eyes open they would've seen rod gardners jersey rip down right before the ball got there. The CB used R.G to pull himself forward quicker to the ball. I'll admit though I did that once too....;).....Either way it sux.....and the int was run back so far it was a gimmie TD.
